Job Description
In collaboration with the business and their team, the IT Enterprise Solutions Manager is responsible for the creation of value within the business through the intersection of people, processes, and technologies. In this role, you will help the business to solve its problems in a way that brings the greatest value to stakeholders. A pragmatic view toward reaching the desired state will be important as large shifts may require a combination of incremental or regressive solutions while actively avoiding long-term technical debt. Ongoing calibration will be needed to guide the creation of a structure where the sum of the parts is greater than the whole.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operating at the intersection of business and technology, your team will consist of Business Analysts, Enterprise Systems Administrators, Database Engineers, BI Architects, and Applications Developers. As a technical manager you will need to have fluency in all these areas so that you can help the team achieve its objectives.
  • Grow and develop the Enterprise Solutions team, ensuring cross-education, development and succession is addressed in an ongoing way, capitalizing on the strengths of the team, and activating untapped potential.
  • Clearly articulate objectives to the team, providing clear success criteria, while allowing the team to bring their experience and expertise in a collaborative way to solve problems and deliver value.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the team as they work toward a consistent set of foundations and platforms which complement each other.
  • Develop a knowledge of the business, vertical markets, individual business cultures, and become well-versed in the challenges, risks, and opportunities faced by the business units.
  • Develop relationships at all levels and environments within the company and stay attuned to the general pulse of challenges and opportunities. Foster ongoing relationships with stakeholders is important.
  • Ask questions and collect observations to proactively formulate solutions to existing problems.
  • Engage with stakeholders, and conduct open discussions with the aim toward educating, informing, encouraging, improving, and progressing business awareness of how technology can help accomplish business goals.
  • Bring concepts, ideas, suggestions, strategies, and ideas to the team for consideration in the scheme of desired-state architecture.
  • Work with various steering committees or ad hoc teams to evaluate proposed initiatives for the maximum good of the business.
  • Validate that requirements and test plans meet the rigor required to match expectations and assumptions.
  • Assist the team and business with managing organizational change, balancing the end-to-end impact of proposed solutions, and ensuring solutions are well adopted.
  • Help the team, department, and business mature its use of tools, techniques, and skillsets which bring net gains throughout the enterprise.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience with direct Business Analysis, Software Development, Information Technology, or related areas. SAFe, CAPM, CCBA, CBAP or related frames of reference helpful.
  • 6+ years of progressive work experience in related disciplines such as process improvement, process optimization, process management, product management, solution design, application administration, business analysis, systems analysis.
  • Unquenchable drive to improve and understand how things work and how you can make them better.
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to communicate throughout the company at the appropriate level of technical understanding.
  • Natural curiosity about the business and its latent potential.
  • Ability to grasp complex structures, patterns and relationships, and form an understanding from which to problem-solve.
  • Ability to understand, articulate, and steer ongoing evolving situations toward a common foundation or purpose.
  • Ability to anticipate and understand the needs of end users, with the ability to plan and execute organizational changes which impact processes, whether at a department or business unit or company level, in collaboration with the IT team.
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications structure, solution design, database architecture, business analytics, process automation, and digital workflows would be a necessary background. A good general foundation in IT services and technologies would be of great value.
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
  • Familiar with API's, UI/UX, database applications, web application architecture, or similar concepts.
  • An understanding of data warehousing, enterprise database applications architecture and functional concepts, data integrations, and mobile applications would be helpful in this role.
  • Experience with workflow and process automation, low-code/no-code, data structures.
