Description
Required Experience for Bus Driver
1 year driving a shuttle, bus, or similar vehicle
CDL Class C required; must have a clean driving record.
Compassionate & Care for seniors. The ideal candidate will enjoy helping and working with the senior population.
Ability to be timely, patient, and accommodating; ability to maintain a bus schedule and is familiar with the local area.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
You love to laugh and have fun while working hard to provide excellent service.
Driving responsibilities
Drive community residents to outings including doctor's appointment, banking, errands and activities
Assist residents with boarding and existing the bus
Secure wheelchair clamps or safety belts according to Company policy and procedure
Prepare the bus for operation by performing Daily pre-trip safety inspections and maintain a transportation log for all outings / use of the bus
Immediately report all incidents and accidents to the community according to Company policy
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner
Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority
Assist the Activities Department in off site outings as needed.
Answer phones appropriately, according to company and community standards
Communicate professionally and cooperate with supervisor and all community employees
Maintains the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the bus
Fills out daily inspection log at the beginning of each trip and turns in form when completed.
