Overview

The Fort Wayne Hardware Engineering intern will partner with fellow interns and the broader Hardware Engineering team at QSC. This role will focus on new design development providing support for the transition of Atterotech legacy products to the LCQLAN platform. By doing so, we aim to accelerate the overall timeline for the development of the 009 QIO Audio Wall Plate.

Throughout the course of the QSC 2024 Summer Internship Program (10 weeks beginning June 24 and ending August 30) interns will work on-site, occasionally virtually if the opportunity arises, and have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions and receive training customized by our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the technical side of QSC. The interns will understand first-hand what a career with QSC is like and will have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network.

The estimated range for this role is $23-$25 per hour.

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location.

Responsibilities
    Learning to use essential engineering tools.
  • Investigating the failure mechanisms of the existing QIO-COMMS design.
  • Conducting tests related to power, inputs, outputs, and over-temperature conditions.
  • Analyzing noise floor and audio spikes by comparing isolated QIO-COMMS with various connected personalities (X2IO+, X4I, 6IO, 6IO-BT).
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a related field
  • Data capture and analysis
  • Some basic exposure to AI is preferred
  • Interest in the AV industry
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
