Job Description and Requirements

Content is king at Synopsys, and we are looking for a high-caliber writer with a nose for a narrative and the ability to turn complex information into simple and compelling stories. You will play a leading role in bringing our corporate narrative to life through our blog with stories about the innovations that our technology and products make possible today and in the future, and the unique perspectives of our leaders and technologists.

You must have a passion for great copy and the ability to work with expert engineers and the C-suite to produce content in a variety of forms, from executive op-eds, blogs, and mini-reports to whitepapers, manifestos, listicles and more. You will also play a key strategy role helping us to formulate content plans that catch eyeballs and leads across channels, reaching our mainstream and long-tail audiences.

You will be an experienced business and tech-savvy storyteller and collaborative editor who brings creativity, project management, and a results-oriented workstyle. Ideally, you are already working in or around the semiconductor sector, either as a content marketer or a journalist for a technical outlet. You will be joining a small but adept global communications team within the Global Marketing and Communications organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the editorial strategy for the Synopsys Blog.
  • Write high-quality, thought-provoking content for a range of formats: blog posts, executive op-eds, customer stories, SEO articles, videos, whitepapers.
  • Work with communications and marketing colleagues, conducting research, and interviewing subject matter experts to source information.
  • Project manage content initiatives as needed.
  • Apply editorial expertise and content best practices.
  • Create content that captures and keeps the attention of our technology users, the media, financial, enterprise and executive audiences.
  • Track key metrics for content marketing and apply how content is performing to future projects.
Requirements:
  • Degree-level qualification in journalism, English, communications, engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in content marketing, especially executing programs to build awareness, capture thought leadership and/or generate demand.
  • Self-starter with the ability to handle various projects simultaneously, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and have the flexibility to perform within an environment of changing needs and priorities
  • Writing samples of engaging content such as blog posts, op-eds, case studies, videos, infographics, emails, published stories, etc.
  • Excellent copyediting, communication & project management skills.
  • Experience with SEO best practices and keyword research is a plus.
  • Experience using analytics to assess the impact and effectiveness of content programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent English writing, editing, spelling, and grammar skills.
  • Expertise with marketing and communications concepts and practices.
  • Ability to anticipate program needs, discern work priorities, and work cross functionally
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint - and Zoom meetings.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Expertise with Wrike tool-based project management
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) site content management

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $138,000-$206,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
