West Star Aviation , supported by STS Technical Services , is currently seeking a skilled Aircraft Cabinet Technician for its facilities in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role is crucial in enhancing the interiors of various aircraft through expert cabinetry and detailed craftsmanship.

The Aircraft Cabinet Technician is responsible for the comprehensive fabrication, modification, and installation of aircraft cabinets and related interior components. This position demands a high level of precision and expertise in aircraft interior customization and refurbishment.

• Perform detailed fabrication, modification, and installation of aircraft cabinets and other interior components.
• Execute general mechanical functions including but not limited to removal, installation, modification, relaminating, veneering, and crafting new cabinets.
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and cleanliness in creating and modifying aircraft interiors.
• Independently manage projects when necessary, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in aircraft cabinetry or a related field, focusing on high-quality interior finishes.
• Proficiency in using various tools and techniques for cabinet making and finishing.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all work complies with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines and company safety protocols.
• Participate in the maintenance and repair of shop facilities, equipment, and tooling as required.
• Assist in major modification work and support other team members in achieving project goals.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as walking, bending, and squatting.
• Routine use of manual dexterity and hand-tool operation.

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily in a hangar or shop environment, with occasional tasks performed directly on aircraft in various locations around the hangar.
